The incubators and environment in the IVF lab may be fumigated using Bacillocid atter thourogh cleaning, prevent dampness and humidity and check your ventilation system. Fungal spores may be introduced through dust and also through the inlet air from ACs. The incubators also could be wiped with methanol.

CLEAN YOUR ALL WORK PLACE WITH 40% formaline , even your incubators for removal of fungal spore. Check your ventilators because generally these are sources , check your AC too. If any civic work is going on in nearby ,even that can become source of fungal spores.

Strict aseptic precautions need to be practised at all times of handling your incubator. Get the biomedical department staff to check your incubator fan and internal components if any dust is accumulated and if so the fan will blow those contaminants into the chamber causing contaminantion. Make schedule cleaning & disinfection of your incubator by a dedicated technician atleast on a weekly basis. water chamber used for adding water should be distilled preferbaly if not clean potable water atleast and the water also needs change weekly. Before these procedures, perform terminal cleaning of your incubator room with clorox, biotek with recommended concentrations and adequate contact time. Perform microbiological air sampling after running the centralised air condition for 24 hours. Never use split A/C or window A/C. Air sampling culture strips need to be incubated for 7 days to rule out fungal growth from air. Maintain the room humidity (30-60%) & temperature between 22-24 degree centigrade. All these need to be documented on a daily basis & supervised. It's important to find out what kind of fungal growth is seenas contaminants in your incubator or the room? as it would help you to perform the correct decontamination process.
